In a remarkable trend, girls dominated the merit list, clinching 72 out of the top 92 ranks, reaffirming the growing academic excellence among female students in the state. Students from 22 government schools and 70 private schools made it to the top ranks, reflecting consistent performance across both educational sectors.
The HPBOSE 10th result was announced in a press conference held at Dharamshala. Nearly 95,000 students had appeared for the Class 10 board exams, conducted across 2,300 examination centers statewide. For the first time, the Board introduced OMR sheets to enhance transparency and efficiency in the evaluation process. Exams commenced on March 4, except in Lahaul-Spiti and Pangi regions, where weather conditions led to a rescheduling.
HPBOSE Secretary Dr. Major Vishal Sharma stated that the Board ensured a smooth and secure conduct of exams, along with a timely result declaration. In a significant move, students can now download their mark sheets and certificates instantly via DigiLocker, eliminating delays and reducing paperwork.
However, the overall pass percentage witnessed a decline this year, standing at 74.61%, compared to 89.7% in 2024. Despite the dip, the continued academic leadership by girls has been the highlight of the 2025 results.
