A 4.4 magnitude earthquake was experienced in the Kinnuar district of Himachal Pradesh this afternoon, said the Indian Meteorological Department in a press communique.
The spokesperson of IMD said that Kinnuar district of Himachal was shocked by 4.4 magnitude earthquake at 1627 hrs on Tuesday. No loss to life and property reported due to the impact of earthquake so far.
The epicentre of earthquake was measured at the Latitude of 31.88 degree North and Longitude of 76.69 degree East and five kilometer deep in the hills of Kinnuar district on India- China borders of Himachal.
Met Office said that magnitude of 4.4 fall the schedule VI in the yellow category. The shockwave of the earthquake was profound experienced in many parts of Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan, and Punjab.
Five district of Himachal Pradesh fall in highly seismic prone schedule IV and V areas of the earthquake.
