All schools and Colleges would remain closed in the state from Oct 30 to Nov 6 in-wake of festive season and increasing cases of Covid 19 among the students who are yet to vaccinated.
A notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi here today directed all private and public schools irrespective of the board are affiliated to ensure implementation of direction of directions.
Invoking sec 34 of Disaster Management Act2005 deputy commissioner said that all the govenrment, private schools (all boards) shall remained closed with efect from Nov 1 to 6 in the district.
The violation of order shall atract provisions of Sec 51 to 60 of DMA 2005 and sec 188, 269 and 270 and the violators would be prosecuted accordingly.
The SP Shimla and SDMs would further ensure that all the educational institutions in the district.
The decision to close all schools other than those affiliated with the state board of school education was taken after the video conference by the chief Secretary on Oct 28 and after considering the current situation of Covid 019 where the
positivity rate is increasing among the unvaccinated group of school going children.
It is worthwhile to mention that classes below middle standards could not start off line and students are getting education through ” Har Ghar Pathshala Forum ” that is online mode.
On Oct 26 the State education department decided to close down all educational institutions in the state from Nov 1 to Nov 6 for the Diwali Festival season and including all private and government colleges
