Shimla, June 4
Himachal Pradesh High Court has nominated Justice Romesh Verma as the Vacation Judge during week long ensuing summer vacation from June 8 to June 12, 2026.
According to a notification issued by the High Court on June 2, Justice Verma would hold court on June 9 (Tuesday) to hear urgent judicial matters during the vacation period. Cases requiring immediate judicial intervention would be listed before the Vacation Bench on the notified date.
The arrangement has been made to ensure that urgent legal matters continue to be heard despite the regular summer recess of the High Court.
The notification issued by the High Court stated that Justice Verma would discharge the functions of the Vacation Judge during the specified period and judicial matters would be placed before his court on June 9.

The summer vacation bench would provide litigants access to judicial remedies in urgent cases during the court vacation period.
