Shimla, May 2
The success of a film is determined by its director regardless of the superstar actress, the failure of this film is inevitable if its script belongs to the BJP and the direction is done by Jairam Thakur, stated Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu while campaigning for Lok Sabha candidate Vikramaditya Singh in Karsog, Mandi district on Friday. Firing at BJP CM Sukhu praised Kangana Ranaut for her hard work in becoming a superstar but criticized her for not providing any assistance to Himachal Pradesh during times of crisis. He contrasted her with Aamir Khan, who quietly donated 25 lakh rupees, while Kangana kept seeking benefits from the state government.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh alleged that Jairam Thakur got the ticket for Kangana to divert attention from Vikramaditya Singh, who he believed would win the elections. He praised Vikramaditya Singh for his understanding of people’s issues, citing his exemplary work as PWD Minister.
Sukhu said that Thakur kept sleeping for five years as Chief Minister and now resorting to buying six Congress MLAs, even stitching Black suits in the anticipation of forming a BJP government. He also accused the BJP for spending on helicopter rides for ferrying rebel MLAs around Chandigarh, Panchkula, Gurugram, and Delhi, to safeguard the political move.
The Chief Minister warned those attempting to buy vote that the people of Karsog would teach them a lesson on June 1st. He declared that the people would respond to BJP’s theft of a Congress Rajya Sabha seat by winning four Lok Sabha and six Assembly seats.
In the public address, Sukhu highlighted the government’s achievements, including providing 15 months of Old Age Pension, launching the Sukh Aashray scheme, and initiating a monthly allowance of 1500 rupees for women. He mentioned the creation of 22,000 government jobs in a year, increasing MSP on milk, historic increment in MNREGA workers’ wages, and raising police constables’ diet allowance to 1000 rupees. He also mentioned a 4500 crore rupee relief package during disasters and emphasized the government’s commitment to serving the people for five years before being held accountable in elections.
During the speech, several prominent figures were present, including Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Pathania, MLA Neeraj Nayyar, former Minister Prakash Chaudhary, Mahesh Raj, district Congress committee president Shashi Sharma, block president Hariom Sharma, APC Chairman Sanjeev Guleria, Jagdish Reddy, and block committee president Savita Gupta.
