The registered Sunni-Bhajji Vikas Sanstha convened an important meeting in Shimla under the chairmanship of senior general secretary D. D. Gupta, with more than 100 members from all four Sunni-Bhajji parishes in attendance. Press Secretary Layak Ram Sharma formally welcomed the gathering.
The meeting commenced with a tribute to the late Shri Guru Dutt Sharma, founding president of the organization, who passed away on June 9 this year. Elections for the new executive body were conducted under the supervision of Pyare Lal Sharma.
Kapil Sharma was unanimously elected President, while D. D. Gupta was appointed Chief Patron. Other key office-bearers elected include Senior Vice President Bhup Ram Verma; Vice Presidents Deep Ram Sharma and Roshan Lal Sharma; General Secretary Kushal Sharma; Press Secretary Layak Ram Sharma; Organization Secretary Bhupender Kumar; Joint Secretaries Gopal Verma and Gyan Sharma; Chief Spokesperson Gaurav Sharma; Organization Secretary Mohan Gayatri; Office Secretary Jitender Bhardwaj; and Finance Secretary Rakesh Verma.
In a joint statement, President Kapil Sharma and the General Secretary announced that the executive committee would be further expanded after consultations with representatives of Bada Bal, Chhota Bal, Pargana Saraj, and Pargana Chauta. The first extended meeting is scheduled in Dargi in March.
The organization also resolved to hold medical camps across all four regions, support needy students with fees and uniforms, and provide financial assistance to widows and economically weaker families.
