Kargil tremor: Shockwaves felt in entire Northern Western Region

Three five plus magnitude tremors shook entire tricity Chandigarh, Mohali and Chandigarh including Northern Western Himalayan states, said Shimla Met Office in a press communique on Monday.
Three tremor felt were reported at 1058hrs, 1548hrs and 1818 hrs.
The second tremor hit around 1548 hrs on Monday in the many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh including tricities spread in Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana some parts of Uttrakhand and Himachal Pradesh as its epicenter was confined to Kargil hills at altitude of 2675 meter in Ladhakh, Jammu and Kashmir in North West India. Three tremor 1058, 1548 and 1818 .
According to IMD the it was measured 5.7 on the Richter scale at the latitude of 33. 46 and Longitude of 71.76 and ten km metre depth.
There is no report of loss of life and property in the state of Himachal Pradesh and it was felt by people living along Chamba and Lahaul Spiti border along Leh and Ladhakh.
The major impact of tremor was felt in the sparsely populated areas of the region.
