Leopard fears grips Sen Ki Sair Panchayat: Residents alarmed as predator roams freely
Shimla/Nahan
There is an atmosphere of panic among the people of the area due to the sighting of a leopard in Sena Ki Sair Panchayat of Nahan assembly constituency in the Sirmaur district.
This leopard has been seen strolling around and has preyed on many pets in the village. Additionally, it has entered people’s homes and targeted pet dogs. Due to the presence of this leopard, it has become difficult for people to leave their homes.
Ankita Thakur, daughter of Anil Kumar and a resident of Sen Ki Sair, informed the Forest Department about this issue a few days ago. It is noteworthy that this leopard has been roaming fearlessly in the village for about a month. Its presence has instilled fear among the residents, as they spot it even in broad daylight.
However, it’s important to clarify that the leopard has not attacked any person in the village yet. If the Forest Department does not capture the leopard soon, there is a possibility of it attacking someone in the village.
