An Earthquake measuring 3 on the Richter scale hit Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh this afternoon, said Indian Meterogical Department spokesperson in a press release issued here today. Earthquake was recorded at 1422 hrs on Friday having epicenter at latitude of 31.32 degree east and latitude 77.81 deggree North and five km deep at Shimla, state capital. It was not felt by people.
