Media condemns misbehaviour with female journo during Kullu Duessehra

Media persons from Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana condemned the incident of misbehaviour with woman journalist at Kullu Dussehra by the PSO of the deputy Chief minister Mukesh Agnihotri.
According to informarion a complaint was lodged by Neha Sharma, a PTI journalist after the alleged incident however no action has been taken by the state police so far.
The Deputy CM was informed about the incident however no condemnations was issued by the state government on the incident. Neha Sharma, is governing council member of Chandigarh Press club is working with PTI videos team.
The complaint lodged by her said that was misbehaved and obstructed from performing her duty by a security team member of the Deputy Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh during Kullu Dussehra festival.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, the Chandigarh Press Club condemned the misbehaviour by Himachal Deputy CM’s security with woman journalist
Neha, who is also a vice-president of the club was at Kullu to cover Kullu Dusshera Festival and while she was doing her professional commitment, she was misbehaved and obstructed from doing her work by the security personal of the Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri.
As per press club Chandigarh media communique she was about to take sound byte of Deputy CM when he arrived at Dusshera ground, and as she put her mike the security member from the team held her hand and put away the mike dictating that she can’t do the sound byte.
This happened in front of Deputy CM who himself has been a former journalist and he categorically asked her to not to spoil the show.

Umesh Sharma said that DGP was also informed about this incident later and he simply chose to disconnect the call conveniently.
Despite filling of complaint to DC, SP Kullu , DGP and CMO, no action has been taken even after three days of the incident.
“We urge the concerned authorities to take appropriate action and make sure that in future no journalist should not be obstructed in performing their professional commitments,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Himachal Pradesh Working Journalist Forum also condemned the incident and demanded that action should be taken against the PSO.
HPWJF also demanded that FIR should be registered into incident.
Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur in a media statement also condemned the misbehaving with the media persons and sought action.
