Met forecasts possibility of light rain -snow in HP

The Indian Meteorological department predicted possibility of light rain in the isolated places of Himachal Pradesh and snow on the high reaches.
According to a weather bulletin issued on Thursday IMD said that there is possibility of light precipitation at isolated places along the catchment areas of Beas and Satluj however no warning was issued along Ranjit Sagar.
State Met Office forecast that there are possibility of light rainfall in the distt of Kangra, Bilaspur, Una, Hamirpur, Mandi, Solan and Sirmaur.
High reaches of Lahaul Spiti, Shimla and Kullu may have light snowfall in ongoing 24 hours.
With effect from December 16 a new Western Disturbance is also approaching North Western Himalayan states, informed Chandigarh based Punjab and Haryana Met Office incharge Manmohan Singh.
Meanwhile many places are reeling under subzero temperature and many springs and glacial lakes are frozen due to early advancement of winter season.
