By SP Jairath, Nahan, April 29, Adventure sports enthusiasts are in for an exhilarating experience as the second edition of the Nahan X-Country Race is set to take place on May 11, 2025, in the picturesque hills of Sirmaur district, Himachal Pradesh. The event will be held near the Eco Tourism Forest House, close to the Ultimate Survival Campsite, along the Rajgarh-Banethi road at an elevation of approximately 4,000 feet.
Organised by Ultimate Survival Campsite, the race promises a challenging mix of running and cycling events through pine forests, undulating hills, and rural trails between Banethi and Jamta. According to retired Lt. Colonel Vishal Sharma, nearly 90% of the route is a technical trail with a total elevation gain and descent of 575 meters in a 15 km loop.

Participants would receive event T-shirts, finisher medals, certificates, and hot post-race refreshments. The course will be equipped with hydration points, four water stations along the 5 km stretch, and essential first aid and ambulance support.
The last date for registration is May 5, 2025. Tented accommodation for up to 50 people is available at the venue, and bookings can be made via Townscript.
Only mountain terrain bikes (MTBs) are permitted for the cycling segments. E-bikes and battery-powered bicycles are strictly prohibited. Helmets are mandatory and participants must adhere to all safety protocols.
Winners will be awarded based on participation—no prizes for fewer than 5 participants, one winner for 5–10 participants, and top 3 awards for categories with over 11 entries.
