No clue of missing Polish paragliding pilot
Shimla, Oct 25
No clue of the 70-year-old Polish paraglider named Andrzej Kulawik has been found so far. The Paraglider had gone missing in the Triund hills of Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh, India. The district administration reported that he took off from Bir Billing valley, a renowned paragliding location, on Monday, and has not been located since. A search and rescue operation, including the use of helicopters, was initiated on Tuesday to find the missing paraglider.
The pilot’s intended destination was Dharamshala, but he disappeared somewhere in the hills, specifically towards the Kareri hills, as per eyewitnesses. Despite extensive search efforts in the Dharamshala-McLeodganj and Triund areas, his whereabouts remain unknown.
It’s worth noting that Andrzej Kulawik had come to participate in the Pre-Paragliding World Cup scheduled to begin on the 26th of October in Bir-Billing. In preparation for the event, pilots like him were engaged in practice flights. The competition is expected to draw over 140 participants
