Himachal Pradesh Government has decided to cut down strength of employees in the government offices. They have also decided to reduce carrying capacity of public transport to 50 per cent to tackle the spike of Covid-pandemic in the state. Chief Minister today talking to media stated that the the permission for solemnizing marriages would now be with a strength of maximum 50 people whether indoor or outdoor.
A meeting held here today chaired by Chief Minister decided that now only 50 per cent
of employees would be turn up in the offices and rest would work from home moreover HRTC and private buses which are carrying passengers up to its seating capacity would now ferry only 50 per cent capacity to maintain the social distancing.
The offices would work five days a week and remain closed on Saturday and Sunday. All markets would also remain off on Sunday in the state. The above steps have been taken to contain the outbreak of Covid virus.
The state council of minister meeting to be held on Apr 22 could take decisions of imposing night curfew as the government made it clear that it would take few more decisions to contain the Covid-19 in the cabinet meeting.
IGMC OPD timings altered
Senior Medical Superintendent of IGMC Hospital Dr Janak Raj also stated that with surge in the cases of Covid and increasing number of admission every days general Out Patient Department (OPD) have been changed with effect from Apr 22. In IGMC routine registration would be start at 0800 hrs till 1300 hrs however causality or emergency services would continue to work without any change.
Deputy Commissioner Shimla Mr Aditya Negi also said in a statement issued here today that Tribal hostel Dhali would serve as Quarantine centre for the IGMC covid wards staff till further order with immediate effect. If any IGMC Staff would require quarantine staff would be provided the stay at the Tribal hostel till further order.
Extension of grant letter validity
In another notification issued recently Secretary state Transport Authority and Adl Commissioner Transport Ghanshayam Chand said that on the demand of private transport unions state decided to extend the validity of all types of grant letters upto Jun 30 issued under motor vehicle act.
A state administration high level meeting was being held on day to day basis to tackle the pandemic as it has decided to keep all educational institution along staff members close till May 1.
