In wake of the countrywide lock-down and amidst the problems being faced by the poor, needy especially the migrant labour, Parbati-III a wing of the NHPC Kullu has come forward. Bikram Singh, General Manager of the project stated that under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives the project has procured 210 ration packets for such. He informed that each packet contains around 20Kg rations which can suffice a family for a month. “ The package has 10 Kg Wheat (Atta), 5 Kg Rice, three different Pulses (Dal) 1Kg each, 1 Kg Salt, 1L Edible oil, 100 gm Turmeric (haldi) and 100 gms Red pepper (Lal Mirch),” added Singh.
He said that the packets have been handed over to SDM Kullu Anurag Chander Sharma, for distribution being through his office. Singh also urged the citizens to practice precautions and adhere the lock-down sincerely. He informed that their teams at the project site are working tirelessly in the area to make people aware about COVID-19 pandemic.
