President Draupadi Murmu concludes four-day visit to Shimla
Shimla, April 21
After a four-day summer sojourn at the Rashtrapati Niwas, The Retreat Mashobra in Shimla, President Draupadi Murmu has departed for the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi. The protocol officer of state and central agencies confirmed that the President left for New Delhi in an Airforce helicopter from Kalayani Helipad near The Retreat at 1015hrs on Friday.
During her state visit, the President inaugurated the Tulips garden at The Retreat, which will be open to the public from April 23 onwards. She also visited the Indian Institute of Advanced Study in Shimla and interacted with the fellows and directors of IIAS. Furthermore, she attended an interaction with trainees of the National Audit & Account Academy in Yarrow, Shimla, and addressed the convocation ceremony of HP University at Summerhill on April 19.

The Retreat at Mashobra is one of three presidential homes in the country, located 11 km from the main town and surrounded by the beautiful forest of Oaks and Deodar. The other two presidential homes are the Rashtrapati Bhawan in Delhi and the Rashtrapati Nilayam in Hyderabad.
