Shimla, June 20
The Himachal Pradesh State Government has ordered an inquiry into the Timber Trail cable car accident at Parwanoo in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. CMJai Ram Thakur said that the State Government is always determined to protect the precious human life. The Chief Minister said that the State Government has issued orders for an inquiry into the incident.
Earlier, the Chief Minister, who was present at a program in Hamirpur, informed the Union Home Minister Amit Shah about the incident on telephone and sent a team of NDRF for the safety of the tourists.
On getting information about the accident, the Chief Minister himself reached Parwanoo from Hamirpur. Here the CM obtained information about this incident from the officials present and the operator of Timber Trail Hotel. Also, Jai Ram Thakur interacted with all the 11 people who were safely rescued and inquired about their well being. He said that appropriate steps would be taken to ensure that such incidents do not reoccur.
He also interacted with the team of Timber Trail Hotel and the team of NDRF personnel who contributed to the rescue work on the occasion and expressed their gratitude for saving precious human lives in time.
State BJP co-in-charge Sanjay Tandon, Shimla Lok Sabha constituency MP and state BJP president Suresh Kashyap, other BJP officials, Deputy Commissioner Solan Kritika Kulhari, Superintendent of Police Solan Virendra Sharma, officers and employees of NDRF and senior officers of other departments were present on the occasion.
