Recuse efforts to trace the two youth who got struck in the snow strom at Kakdu Kanda near Barmani Mata temple in tribal Pangi area of the Chamba district have not bourne any result so far, informed Dr Janakraj, MLA from the Bharmour constituency.
He informed that the duo (a young adult and a minor) who belonged to a local Panchayat had gone to visit the temple area which is situated in a forest area above Suchui Panchayat in Pangi tehsil.
Since the weather truned bad, both got struck in the area. Reportedly, one of them was able to send messages via mobile to relatives, which alerted the family and then the administration.
As soon as the locals got information, a rescue team was formed comprising of locals and mountaineering division was formed to find out the youth.
“However the ongoing efforts since past 2 days have failed to garner any result. Still no trace of the two have been found, he added.
