Road Cave-In claims three lives as Car plunges into gorge in Rampur of Shimla distt.
Shimla, July 18
Three people were tragically killed in a mishap that occurred on the Nirath-Nankhari Pandadhar link road, located in the Rampur Subdivision of Shimla district in Himachal Pradesh. The incident took place during the dark hours of last night.
Local witnesses reported that a car, with three occupants, plunged into a deep gorge as a portion of the Neerth-Nankhari-Pandadhar road collapsed, taking the vehicle along with it. Unfortunately, all three individuals lost their lives on the spot. The administration’s rescue team retrieved the bodies of the deceased, who were en route to their village at the time of the accident.
The victims have been identified as Vir Singh (40), Himmat Singh (28), and Ratan (50) from Nankhari. Kaul Singh Negi, former president of Himcofed, stated that the road collapse occurred due to heavy rainfall in the Rampur Subdivision.
