Four times Congress member of Assembly and grandson of former Chief Minister Thakur Ram Lal, Rohit Thakur declared elected from Jubbal Kotkhai Assembly Constituency defeating nearest rival of Chetan Bragta of Ruling BJP by margin of 5069 vote.
Rohit Thakur got 31393 votes and Chetan Bragta 26324 votes, Vishal Sangta of CPI(M)-1256, Shrikant Chauhan- 163, Suman Kadam 65 and NOTA -178. Total votes polled -59805.
