The High reaches including Rohtang pass in Lahaul Spiti and Chitkul in Kinnaur received five and four feet snowfall and normal life was disrupted by windstorm and heavy downpour since past 24 hrs. News arriving that an avalanche has occurred near Tandi Bridge in Sub Division Lahaul. in this incident some shops partially buried under avalanche. Also, no loss reported in this incident.
Also DEOC Kinnaur Informed that an incident of Avalanche Incident occurred at Near Karcham Helipad, Tehsil Sangla, District Kinnaur. In this incident NH-05 has been blocked due to avalanche. Restoration work is under process, stated a local administration spokesperson.
According to Meteorological department the gateway of Lahaul Spiti district at 13050 ft high Rohtang pass had five feet snowfall highest of this spring season. Gulaba, Atal tunnel and Chhitkul had four ft snowfall,Jalorijot of Kullu, Kalpa, Moorang , Sangla of Kinnaur and Kaza(Lahual-Spiti )two ft, Solang near Manali 2 ft, Palchan and Nichar (Kinnaur) 1.5 ft snowfall.
Khadrala two ft, Sangla 52 cm Gondla 45 cm , Kukumseri 44.8 cm Keylong 38 cm, Narkanda 30 cm. Keylong, Udaipur, Jhalama, Sisu, Koksar in Lahual-Spiti, Dodrakawar in Shimla had one ft and pooh 25 cm and Kufri 2.5 cm Reckong- peo 15 cm and Shillaroo five cm.
Manali had 88 mm rain, Nahan 83.3 mm Pachhad 76 mm, Sarahan 70 mm, Kangra 64.9 mm, Rampur 64 mm, Rohru 60 mm , Kotkhai 55.4 mm, Dharamshala 55 mm mm, Dalhousie 53 mm, Guler 52.6 mm and Chamba 50 mm respectively.
Minimum temperatures of Keylong minus 4.5, Narkanda minus 1.2, Kufri one, Shimla 4, Bhuntar and Jubberhati airport sux degrees, Dharamshala 8.6, Una 10.5.Nahan 7.1. Solan 8.0 , Manali 1.9, Kangra 9.7, Mandi 7.8, Bilaspur 12, Chamba 8, Dalhousie 2.4 respectively.
The met office forecast light to moderate rain and snowfall in 24 hrs in the state.
In the State 507 road and five National Highway, 2663 Power supply schemes and 72 water supply schemes was affected by thunderstorm and due t snowfall in past 24 hrs.
Bus and other transport services remained affected today which likely to resume from tomorrow with clear weather.
