Shimla, Nov 11,
In a move aimed at improving traffic flow and enhancing safety, particularly for school children, the District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of Shimla, Anupam Kashyap, has issued a draft notification to make the road leading from Varsha Shalika near Saraswati Paradise School to the Printing Press in Housing Board Colony, Sanjauli, a one-way street.
The proposed one-way traffic will operate in an anti-clockwise direction. The decision was taken to alleviate traffic congestion and minimize the risk of accidents in the area.
The public is invited to submit written objections to the draft notification within a period of 30 days from the date of publication. These objections should be addressed to the office of the District Deputy Commissioner, Shimla.

The road from chotta shimla to Panthaghati has recently been opened for two way traffic during peak hours, which earlier used to be one way. It is causing chaos like situation during peak hours. The old regime of one way traffic during peak hours should be reinstated.
