Himachal Pradesh Government has appointed senior Indian Forest Service officer Sanjay Sood (IFS–1993) as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Head of Forest Force).
The appointment has been approved on the recommendations of the Special Selection Committee, according to an official notification issued here today.
Sood, who has been serving as Managing Director of the H.P. State Forest Development Corporation Ltd., has been placed in the Apex Scale with a fixed pay of Rs 2,25,000. His appointment takes effect immediately.
The officer would also hold additional charge of Managing Director, H.P. State Forest Development Corporation Ltd., and Chief Project Director, JICA, in the public interest.
