Seven members of a family die in landslide at Kandaghat tehsil
Shimla, Aug 14
Seven Members of a family including four children and a woman died as they got burried in the house after a landslide at Jadon village under Kandaghat Tehsil of Solan district last night.
President of Gram Panchayat Mamligh Harichand said that  that all the deceased were identified and evucated from the debris. The deceased included Harnam son of Rati Ram his two children, Wife of deceased Harnam and Grandson and son in law of Ratiram.
He said that a massive landslide hit house belonging to Ratiram last night and burried ten people as only three persons were rescued from the debris and others found dead.

According to state Diaster Management the rainfall havoc in.past 24hours has caused significant damage to infrastructure and affected the lives of many people.
The local authorities are actively responding to these incidents. Death toll has gone upto 264 in the state. Around 500 roads including National Highways are washed away and disrupted by the landslide and flashflood.
Manyareas along river are kept at high alert. Nerchownk and Balh of Mandi district are submerged in the rising of water levels of Suketi khud. Water and power Supply is disrupted in 200 DTRs across the state.
Normal life is out of gear. Reports received from Police control Shimla said that power supply is affected in capital town. Three trees uprooted overnight damaged a parked bus near Khalini.
