As the Covid pandemic is about to complete one year of infestation, death and new covid cases in the state are registering a sudden spike. The death toll mounted to 1000 on Thursday and total Covid cases to 60207 including 1043 active cases.
Spokeman of Health Department informed that two people died of Covid pandemic in Kangra district of Himachal increasing the total death toll to 1000 in this approx one year period. Shimla district registered 267 deaths, Kangra 215 and 128 in Mandi.
Till 1900 hrs on thursday 171 new cases of nCov were traced in the state. Sirmaur district got highest spike of 60 cases, Kangra, 35, Shimla 20, Solan 15, Hamirpur 13, Bilaspurand Mandi ten each.
Number of cases of Covid -19 confirmed 60207 in the state since last one year including 1043 active and 58150 cured. As many as 7846 people were tested in the state in last 24 hrs.
