Himachal Pradesh Government informed the state assembly on Thursday that various Gram Panchayats in Shillai block of Sirmaur district are under a probe for irregularities in functioning as concerned Deputy Commissioner is conducting the probe.
Stated by the Rural Development Minister Virender Kanwar in a written query of Congress member Harshawardhan Chauhan accepted that an enquiry of irregularities in the functioning of various Panchayats in Shillai Block has been conducted. The Minister said that the department ordered an enquiry pertaining to the poor quality of developmental works of Shillai Block of District Sirmaur.
” The detail report of the technical assessment as conducted by the technical wing has been received. The Government accepted that action has been taken against the erring officials on the probe as report was sent to the Deputy Commissioner Sirmour for further necessary action by the department.”
The enquiry, as to the records and misconduct, as such, is under process at the level of Deputy Commissioner Sirmaur. Further action would be taken on completion of enquiry.
