According to the information received from Police Post Sissu, the Manali-Keylong-Leh National Highway has been blocked due to a massive landslide at Selfie Point near Sissu. Local people and all the tourists coming to the district are requested not to travel unnecessarily towards Koksar and Sissu until the weather becomes normal. Apart from this, tourists who are staying in hotels and home stays in Keylong, Sissu etc. are instructed not to travel unnecessarily and stay safe until the weather becomes normal and the said route is safe for traffic, stated a police advisory.
Noteworthy that the entire Lahaul valley is wrapped in thick blanket of snow and people are being asked by the District Police to take its services and ensure security of vehicles before venturing in any journey. All are advised not to travel unnecessarily except in emergency cases.
