South West Monsoon system lashed many places in the state during the last 48 hrs
likely to be remain weak till Jun 28 in the hill state, predicted officals of Indian Meteorological Department in a press release today.
Met Office recorded 42 mm rainfall in Bangana of Una, 40mm in Ghumarwin, Bilaspur, 39 mm in Ghamroor in Kangra, 38 mm in Naina Devi in Bilaspur, 34 mm in Mehre of Kangra, 32 mm in Kandaghat of Solan, 30 mm in Jhandutta of Bilaspur, 27 mm in Jubberhati and Guler and 24 mm in Shimla.
Rainfall also lashed Kahu of Hamirpur, Kufri of Shimla, Rohru, Mashobra, Nagrota Suriyan of Kangra and Kasuli of Solan and Bilaspur, Janjehli , Baldwara and Mandi.
Maximum temperature was two to three degrees below normal, Bilaspur 36.5 degrees, Hamirpur 36 degrees Una 33.3 degrees, Sundernagar and Bhuntar 30.6 degrees each, Chamba 30 degrees,Nahan 30.3 degrees Shimla 24.7 degrees, Kalpa 22 degrees, Palampur 25.8 degrees, Manali 23.8 degrees, Keylong in Lahaul Spiti and Dalhousie 20 degrees each.
Shimla Met Office Incharge Manmohan Singh said that Monsoon in Himachal Pradesh arrived on Jun 24. Rainfall also occurred at most places over the state during last 48 hrs with heavy rainfall at isolated places of Kangra and Mandi.
He said that after the widespread spell of rainfall now Monsoon would be in the weak phase till Jun 28. He said that during these days light rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places only. So during these days of monsoon farmers could do their outdoor farming activities like spray on the Apple Crops sawing of Kharif corps etc. He said that After Jun 28 onward rainfall activity would increase again.
