Shimla, August 19
Reports arriving here that ten people who got struck at Neugal Khadd due to instant increase in water level in Kangra district of the State have been evacuated.
A spokesperson of the DOEC Kangra informed us that the incident occurred in Neugal Khadd, Thural, near Sub division Dheera of the district at around 8 AM this morning. Those struck in the incident included eight men and two women. However, there are no reports of any causalities.
He informed us that the quick reaction team, around 22 members of NDRF and an Army team of 1/1 Gurkha rifles from Khasyol, was pressed to conduct the rescue operations.
All Stranded person were evaluated safely by the ground SAR team, disclosed the spokesperson this evening.
