Three dead in fire mishap in Himachal
Shimla, Dec 17,
Three people lost their lives, and one person sustained burn injuries in a major fire that broke out in temporary huts at Kailua village near Bathu, in Haroli Tehsil of Una district in the state, as confirmed by the disaster management authority.
The victims, including two children and a 25-year-old woman named Sumitra Devi from Uttar Pradesh, were burnt alive in the fire that occurred around 12:30 hrs on Saturday. The deceased are identified as nine-month-old Ankit, 5-year-old Naina, and their mother Sumitra Devi.
One person, identified as Vijay Shankar, who suffered burn injuries, has been taken to PGI Chandigarh for medical assistance.
The cause of the fire is currently being ascertained.
