Three passengers died in a car accident in Balsan area of Shimla district on Tuesday afternoon when it fell down in a deep gorge, police officer informed.
According to the information, a car(UK07Z-9695) fell into a about 350 meters deep gorge near Bandhu Dhank of Dhanot in Balsan area under Chaupal assembly constituency at around 4.45 pm.
Three people traveling in it died on the spot. Till 7 pm only two bodies could be taken out from the ditch. The third body is still said to be trapped in the vehicle. The deceased are said to be residents of Uttarakhand.
According to the police, it was not possible to get any information as to where these people were going from. The bodies of the deceased will be sent to Theog Hospital for post-mortem.
SHO Deha Ramesh Chauhan said that the dead bodies are still being taken out. They are yet to be identified.
