Shimla, May 13
Three more candidates filed their nominations from Shimla parliamentary constituency today, taking the total count of contesting candidates to seven for the Lok sabha polls. This information was shared by Returning Officer and District Election Officer Shimla Anupam Kashyap.
He informed that today, Vinod Sultanpuri (42) son of Krishna Dutt Sultanpuri, village and post office Sultanpur, tehsil and district Solan has filed his nomination with Indian National Congress and Suresh Kumar Kashyap (53) son of Chambel Singh, village Paplahan, post office Gagal Shikor, tehsil Pachhad, district Sirmaur has filed his nomination with Indian National Congress. Kashyap perhaps filed the nomination as covering candidate.
Also, Reena (39), wife of Kuldeep Kumar, village and post office Shaya Chhabron, tehsil Rajgarh, district Sirmaur filed her nomination as a covering candidate from Bharatiya Janata Party.
Kashyap said that candidates for the Lok Sabha elections can file their nominations till 3 pm tomorrow i.e. on May 14, 2024.
Noteworthy that as per information so far, no nominations were filed from Mandi today.
