Shimla, July 9
Attributed to heavy rainfall and caving in of foundation a three story building was grounded in Chopal of Shimla district at around 1 pm on Saturday. To relief, it was evacuated before the mishap so no loss of life is reported.

A police official confirmed from police station Chopal that a building which houses UCO bank Branch of Chopal, a shop and a Dhaba started developing cracks since early morning today.

The bank branch was off on the day of mishap but papers and other furniture of the branch and property and the neighborhood shop and food eatery were damaged in the mishap. The mishap occurred after caving in the foundation wall of house. The Met Office issued orange alert in the state for today as Monsoon is vigorously active.
