As per reports arriving here trekkers have gone missing. These Trekkers went missing at Kimlo pass near Chitkul in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh.
Reports here suggest that there were a total of 3 trekker and 6 Potters who had left for the tourney. However, Out of these 1 trekker and 3 Potter have reached Kinnaur, whereas 2 other trekkers and 3 Potters have not reached.
ASI Budhi Singh from Police station Sangla informed that telephone information was received in the police station that a trekker and porter have been brought in injured condition to Chitkul dispensary and some porters and trackers are trapped in front of Chitkul, out of which one person has died.
On info, SI/SHO reached Chittkul, where in the dispensary the porters were identified as Kalyan Singh’s son Jamu Ram village Liwadi, Tehsil Mori district Uttarkashi age 42 years, Pradeep’s son Padam Singh village Liwadi, Tehsil Mori district Uttarkashi age 22 years and Devendra son Tegi Singh village Jakhol Tehsil Mori district Uttarkashi. The trekkers identified as Narottam Gyan Swa Shree Surat Chandra Gyan Village No. 2 Durga Nagar and Thana Chakdaha Tehsil Kalyani District Nadia Age 52 Years Mob No. 9734604852.
After treatment was found, and verified that there were three trackers (01). Narotam Gyan son of Late Surat Chandra Gyan Village No. 2 Durga Nagar Dr. and Thana Chakdaha Tehsil Kalyani District Nadia Age 52 Years Mohd. No. 9734604852, (02), Subrata Vishwas son Late Nimai Chand Biswas Village No. 2 Durga Nagar Dr. Chakdaha Tehsil Kalyani District Nadia Pin 741222, and Sujoy Dule alongwith total 6 porters — Kalyan Singh, Nain Singh, along with Devraj, Jayendra, Pradeep, Devendra Dinak, started trekking on 28th August, from Liwari Tehsil Mori District Uttarkashi via Khimloga Pass to Chitkul.
However on September 2, while rope rappelling near Khimlog pass, Sujoy fell down due to slipping of rope from Dule’s hand, died on the spot and second tracker Sabrota Biswas suffered a hand injury. Thereafter they stayed there and in the morning Narottam Gyan Trekker and Porter Kalyan Singh, Pradeep and Devendra walked at 7 in the morning to reach Chittkul dispensary and reached at around 5 in the evening. The ASI started that during interrogation it was found that the trekkers have permission for trekking.
