Shimla, Nov 27,
Himachal Pradesh Cabinet Minister and son of former CM Late Virbhadra Singh Vikramaditya Singh strongly reacted to comments by former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, asserting that “no son of a mother can dislodge the Holly Lodge.” Singh attributed divine blessings from Maa Bhima Kali and Lord Shri Ram to the Congress party’s historic Holi Lodge, dismissing Thakur’s remarks as inappropriate.
Jairam Thakur, in a recent media statement, had criticized the Congress-led state government, claiming its ultimate goal was to distance itself from the legacy of Holi Lodge. He further alleged that the government is “dominated by corrupt and anarchic elements,” labeling its ministers as “helpless.”
Countering these allegations, Singh emphasized the strength and coordination between the Congress organization and the government. “The Congress organization is moving forward with full strength, serving as a bridge between the government and the public. It raises public concerns and ensures effective governance,” Singh stated.
The exchange highlights the ongoing political tensions in the state, with both sides firmly defending their positions amidst growing political scrutiny.
