Shimla, Dec 21
The World Bank has sanctioned 200 million USD financial assistance for Shimla Municipal Corporation Supply Scheme. It was informed by Union Minister for Urban Housing, Kaushal Kishore, in reply to a query by Member of Rajya Sabha Indu Bala Goswami, on Monday.
The minister informed the house that the amount was approved in two parts. Adding that 40 million USD was approved for a development policy loan, and 160 million for the program for results. The Union Minister also informed the Rajya Sabha member that the World Bank has scheduled the completion of the scheme by 2026.
