Easing Covid restrictions : State opens schools eighth standard onwards 

Taking note of the easing Covid pandemic situation and declining positivity rates, the state government has decided to open all schools above eighth onward, informed a notification issued by the Chairman-State Executive Committee (SEC).

The notification issued here today said that decision has been taken in wake of present situation of COVID-19 active cases and positivity rate in the  State. All schools and educational institutions above eighth standard would open from Oct 11, 2021 however classes below eighth standard continue to be remain off.

However all these educational insitutions including residential schools should follow the

SOPs developed by the Department  of Education to contain the spread of COVID-19.

State Government already decided to open class tenth, and ten plus two and under graduate classes of degree colleges and universities.
