HP’s Kinnaur district experiences major tremorÂ

A 4.4 magnitude earthquake was experienced in the Kinnuar district ofÂ Himachal Pradesh this afternoon, said theÂ Indian Meteorological Department in a press communique.

The spokesperson of IMD said that Kinnuar district of Himachal was shocked by 4.4 magnitudeÂ earthquakeÂ at 1627 hrs on Tuesday. No loss to life and property reported due to the impact ofÂ earthquake so far.

The epicentre of earthquake was measured at the Latitude of 31.88 degree North and LongitudeÂ of 76.69 degree East and five kilometer deep in the hills of Kinnuar district on India- China borders of Himachal.

Met Office said that magnitude of 4.4Â fall the schedule VI in the yellow category. The shockwave of the earthquake was profound experienced in many parts of Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan, and Punjab.
