Two DCs among four IAS officers reshuffled in Himachal

Shimla, October 25

Himachal Pradesh government has ordered the transfer and posting of four IAS officers, including two Deputy Commissioners, with immediate effect.

According to a notification issued by the Department of Personnel on October 24, Rahul Kumar, IAS (2016 batch), Deputy Commissioner, Bilaspur, has been appointed Managing Director of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), Shimla. He will replace Shivam Pratap Singh, IAS (2017 batch).

Nivedita Negi, IAS (2017 batch), Secretary of the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Lahaul-Spiti, with headquarters at Keylong.

Kiran Bhadana, IAS (2017 batch), currently Deputy Commissioner of Lahaul-Spiti, has been transferred as Deputy Commissioner of Bilaspur, completing the exchange of the two district-level assignments.

In another administrative change, Dr Yunus, IAS (2010 batch), Secretary (State Taxes and Excise), has been given the additional charge of Secretary (General Administration Department), Social Welfare and Parliamentary Affairs. He will replace Ashish Singhmar, IAS (2007 batch), who has been relieved of the additional charge.

The orders were issued by the Department of Personnel on the recommendations of the Civil Services Board. Chief Secretary Kamlesh Kumar Pant issued the notification by order of the Governor.

The reshuffle brings changes to the administration of Bilaspur and Lahaul-Spiti districts, besides the leadership of the state road transport corporation and additional responsibilities in the state secretariat.
