Himachal Congress leaders Join massive opposition protest in Delhi

Shimla, Nov 1,

A massive show of opposition strength was witnessed in the national capital on Sunday as Congress and Left leaders from Himachal Pradesh joined thousands of protesters marching towards Ramlila Maidan against the Narendra Modi-led Central Government.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu shared a photograph of himself sitting alongside Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan in an open vehicle, waving to crowds thronging the streets of Old Delhi. The visuals reflected the high mobilisation and enthusiasm among opposition ranks ahead of the rally.

Himachal Congress MLA from Fatehpur, Bhawani Pathania, also shared a live video showing large crowds near Minto Road. In a pointed political message directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pathania recited the song *’Aakhir Tumhe Jaana Hai’*, expressing confidence that the protest campaign would challenge and weaken the present Central Government.

Meanwhile, CPI(M) leader Sanjay Chauhan led a delegation of hundreds of Left activists towards Ramlila Maidan, raising slogans against the Modi government.

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh and Health Minister Dhani Ram Shandil were also among the prominent Himachal leaders seen participating in protest delegations.

As of 2 PM, several leaders and delegations were still making their way towards the rally venue, even as Ramlila Maidan had already witnessed the arrival of thousands of people representing different political parties, organisations and sections of civil society, including those without formal political affiliations.

The gathering appeared to bring together a diverse cross-section of opposition supporters, turning the national capital into a major centre of political mobilisation against the Modi government.
