Massive snow avalanche hits sarbal, Sonmarg
Shimla, Feb 8,
This evening a video of a massive snow avalanche was reported which hit sarbal, Sonmarg in Kashmir.
The area is located on the Srinagar Leh highway in Gandarbal district.
No loss of life but damage to property reported. Reportedly this is the biggest since valley received bumper snowfall. In the video dramatic visuals of people running for cover can be seen.
Reasons for such an avalanche can be numerous but the quest remains that where were the SASE warning systems when this incidence occured near the construction site?
As per a agency report the avalanche caught on camera hit near the workshop area for the zojila tunnel construction project. #snowavalanche #sonmarg #naturesfury
