CBI registers 2 more cases in alleged postal recruitment scam

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has intensified its efforts in uncovering the truth behind the alleged Postal Recruitment Scam in Himachal Pradesh. Today, the CBI registered two additional cases related to the scam, bringing the total number of cases to four informed a media communique by the Central agency.
The latest cases were filed against individuals, including former GraminDakSevak/Assistant Branch Post Masters (ABPM), stationed in Districts Hamirpur and Bilaspur. These cases revolve around allegations of obtaining jobs through the submission of forged or fake educational documents.
According to the CBI, the accused orchestrated a conspiracy to procure or fabricate educational qualification documents, subsequently utilizing them to secure positions within the Postal Department in Himachal Pradesh. Through this deceitful act, they purportedly received salaries unlawfully, causing financial detriment to the Postal Department.
As part of its ongoing investigation, the CBI conducted searches at two locations linked to the accused, located in Districts Bhiwani and Hisar, Haryana. During these searches, incriminating documents were seized, further bolstering the agency’s pursuit of justice.
Earlier this week the agency had conducted a raid on a sub Post Office in Siltanpur area of Kullu district.
