Shimla, May 7
President Draupadi Murmu is set to visit Shimla today May 7th, which will encompass a series of auspicious engagements across the city. Commencing her day with prayers at the revered Sankat Mochan in the morning and Taradevi temple around afternoon the President Murmu will then grace Mall Road with her presence.
Around 11:55 AM, she will leave Sankat Mochan temple for Taradevi temple. President is expected to reach Taradevi temple by noon and will stay there until 2 PM. The President’s convoy will return to the Retreat at 2:55 PM. At 5:30 PM, the President’s convoy will depart from the Retreat and reach Mall Road at 5:50 PM. During this time, the President will tour Mall Road. Afterward, at 6:35 PM, she will attend a cultural program at the Gaiety.
At around 7:20 PM, the President will depart for Raj Bhavan for dinner. Noteworthy that during the President’s arrival, traffic restrictions will be imposed in various areas.
In anticipation of her visit, traffic arrangements have been meticulously planned to ensure the smooth movement of her convoy. Residents and commuters are advised to expect temporary diversions and road closures along key routes, including those leading to Mall Road and Ridge Maidan, during the President’s journey.
