Shimla, April 19
The state of Himachal Pradesh is witnessing new highs for number of covid cases during this ongoing 2nd wave of the virus infection. Today 1695 cases were witnessed across the state. Not only, the highest number of cases in a single day, the positivity rate witnessed was also the highest at 33.21 percent.
Out of 5103 people tested, 1695 were found positive.
Kangra recorded 525 cases followed by Solan where 308 cases were reported. Capital shimla reported 196 cases today, Mandi 185, Sirmour 145, kullu 88, Una 68, Bilaspur 73, Hamirpur 36, Chamba 34, Kinnaur 35 and Lahaul &Spiti reported least 2 cases.
Adding the numbers of today, total active cases have risen to 9783 and 1190 people have lost life till date. The total cases recorded till date are 78070.
