Barring some, similarly deployed other categories of health workers like sanitation & mess, etc. HP Govt announces incentive for doctors, para-medics and lab staff on duty in Covid hospital. Himachal Pradesh Government decided to give incentive to doctors/ staff/students (Including contractual staff) who have been deployed for COVID 19 duties in various govt medical college/hospitals/dedicated and COVID centres in the state till June 30, confirmed a notification here. The state Government have taken this step consequent upon the spread of 2nd wave in the state of Himachal Pradesh as the doctors staff, students etc. including contractual staff who have to be deployed in these institutions.
Chief Minister JairRam Thakur also stated that the government has also decided to provide incentives to various categories of doctors and para-medical staff on duty in Covid hospitals. He said that 4th and 5th year MBBS students, contractual doctors and Junior/Senior Residents would be provided an incentive of Rs. 3000 per month, nursing students, GNM third year students and contractual lab staff would be provided an incentive of Rs. 1500 per month till 30 June, 2021.
Notification issued on May 3 mentions that 4 &5th year MBBS students, Junior and senior resident and contractual doctors to be provided additional incentive of Rs three thousand per month Nursing student, Contractual lab staff and GNM 3rd year student to be provided Rs 1500 additional incentive per month. The expenditure incurred on the incentives to be borne by the SDMA and SDRF funds.
