AICC chief on private visit to Shimla
Shimla, Oct 10
The All India Congress committee (AICC) president Sonia Gandhi arrived here today on a private visit. She is expected to stay at Charabra with Congress party leader and her daughter Priyanka Gandhi who is in the town since last one week, a police officers posted on the protocol duty informed. Gandhi came to Chandigarh by air this morning and later reached Shimla by road.
It is worthwhile to mention that Gandhi had recently attended Bharat Jodo Yatra with her son Rahul Gandhi. Her visit to Shimla is being considered interesting as the party Central screening Committee is, nowadays, in the process of taking the last call on the party tickets for the upcoming assembly polls.
