An Avalanche blocked vehicular traffic on the State Highway-26 between Manali-Udaipur Killar this afternoon. There was no loss of life or property due to the avalanche, but the traffic on this route has been blocked.
Avalanche snapped Pangi Valley from Lahaul Spiti district. According to the information received from the police, Pangi Valley’s road ahead of Tindi was blocked on Friday afternoon. The local police has informed the BRO about the avalanche.
SP Lahaul Spiti Manav Verma confirmed that avalanche. He said BRO has sent its machinery to the spot to clear the avalanche debris from the road.
This is the 8th case of avalanche between Tindi and Killar within a week. In this area, the snow does not last long on the steep hill.
