A bomb threat email was received today on the official email ID of the Deputy Commissioner Mandi, confirmed Superintendent of Police (SP) Mandi in a media briefing. “As a precautionary step, the entire office complex has been evacuated, and necessary protocols including anti-sabotage checks are being implemented in accordance with standard operating procedures,” stated the SP.

The security alert caused a major stir across Mandi district when the alarming message warned of an explosion at the DC office premises. Authorities swung into immediate action following the email, treating the threat with complete seriousness.
Soon after the email was received in the early hours of Wednesday, the district administration initiated a swift evacuation of the Deputy Commissioner’s office building. All employees were safely escorted out, and the area was cordoned off by security personnel.
A bomb disposal squad, along with specialized units, was deployed at the site to conduct a meticulous search of the building. Simultaneously, cybercrime specialists have been engaged to trace the origin of the threatening message.
Local residents and government staff were visibly concerned as law enforcement agencies established a tight security cordon around the office, placing the area on high alert. “We are leaving no stone unturned to ensure public safety and identify the individual or group responsible for this threat,” added police officials.
While no explosive material has been found so far, investigations are actively ongoing. The Deputy Commissioner’s office has urged the public to remain calm and cooperate with the administration during this time.
