In a serious development in Himachal Pradesh, Ram Kumar Bindal, elder brother of BJP State President has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault allegation filed by a 25-year-old woman.
According to the FIR registered on October 8, 2025, at the Women Police Station, Solan, the victim reported that she had been seeking treatment for a long-standing illness. On October 7, 2025, she visited a Vaidya near the old bus stand in Solan for Vedic treatment. During the visit, the accused allegedly asked about her personal details and, under the pretext of examining her, touched her inappropriately and asked questions about her sexual problems. The victim refused further examination and immediately left the place.
The police investigation included inspection of the crime scene by the SFSL Junga team, who collected technical evidence supporting the victim’s statement. Based on the evidence and victim testimony, the Mahila Thana, Solan, arrested Ram Kumar Bindal on October 10, 2025. He is the son of Vaidh Balmukund Bindal, resident of Bindal Colony, Circular Road, Solan.
The accused will be produced in court, and the investigation into the case is ongoing. SP Solan Gaurav Singh confirmed the arrest and stated that further action will be taken as the probe continues.
