The incident unfolded at a location known as Teesri, where Ankush became separated from his friend Satwinder Sood, a resident of Solan. Satwinder, unaware of Ankush’s predicament, continued his journey towards Churdhar, believing his friend was right behind him. It was only upon reaching Churdhar that Satwinder realized Ankush had not arrived.
Despite numerous attempts, Ankush could not be located. At approximately 9:00 PM, Ankush managed to contact Satwinder, informing him that he was stranded between large rocks in a remote area of the forest. Ankush also reported his situation to the emergency helpline, 112.
Responding swiftly, the Chaupal police station provided Ankush’s mobile location to constable Akhil Kumar, who was on duty at Churdhar.
Without delay, constable Akhil and Satwinder embarked on a search through the dark forest. As the night wore on, Ankush’s situation became increasingly dire, with his phone battery nearly depleted, leaving him immobile and alone.
By 11:30 PM, after hours of searching and calling out for Ankush, constable Akhil began chanting the name of Bhole Shankar. Miraculously, Ankush, lying helpless in the forest, heard the chants and responded, guiding the rescue team to his location.
Ankush was brought safely to Churdhar around 1:30 AM, where the Churdhar Seva Samiti provided him with food and shelter.
Expressing his gratitude, Ankush thanked the police personnel and the Seva Samiti, acknowledging that their timely efforts had saved his life.
